J'ai adoré ma visite, la nourriture est excellente et l'ambiance chaleureuse. Bel endroit avec menu très intéressant, se démarque des autres restos déjeuner. J'ai déjà hâte d'y retourner, ça vaut le détour.

Going to the newest, flashiest restaurant in town is always fun, but discovering a long-established place for the first time is just as exciting.
This was the case with here for us.
Serving authentic, traditional Québécois cuisine since 1938, they have all the classics: poutine, shepherd's pie, pea soup, tourtière, pouding chômeur, and more.
But the comfort food items don't stop there; they serve breakfast all day, and all their alcohol is locally made here in Quebec.
The menu is just too vast to get a good sense of it in one go. We will have to return for more, but our initial impression was positive.

Excellent. Breakfast platters are flavourful and good portion sizes. Service is friendly and prompt. Prices are very reasonable. The restaurant is very clean. Plentiful street parking. I look forward to returning.

First time coming to the new location and was very impressed. Our waiter was exceptionally courteous and very attentive. I had the black sausage (boudin), which was delicious. Another family member had eggs and sausage and said everything was great too. Will be returning!

Great place to visit when in Montreal. This family-owned institution is all about making traditional Québécois comfort food.

My go-to order is #9 (the black sausage combo). Their black sausage is great! I also get a piece of their tourtière as a side too. Their tourtière (Québécois meat pie) is amazing: well-seasoned, no salty aftertaste.

My only complaint is that the beans cooked in lard can sometimes be too salty. But I love those beans, they are not the sweet baked beans people usually think of.

Good thing is that they open until 9pm in the weekend, so I can visit them when I am hungover.

My wife loves it so much that we had our wedding anniversary dinner there!

Les meilleurs bine rien de moin depuis le temp qui sont en affaire et que je connais 55 ans minimum haha et encore merci d'avoir garder le Vieux Menu et que de bon souvenir
4 grosse bines pour sortir et faire goûter au gens de l'Abitibi

Headed here for breakfast based on reviews. Well...the place is long, bright and cute with center lined up with double sided counter service. The food missed on most things. The beans salty and no fat or maple glaze. The bread over buttered and under toasted. The potatoes undercooked and lacked seasoning. Sausage and ham were good but bacon wasn't. Coffee was ok.

J’adore cet endroit. Petit et coquet, nous nous replongeons systématiquement dans le film Le Matou. Le service est rapide et efficace, les employés ont l’air content d’être sur place et de nous accueillir dans leur univers. Une chose est certaine; cet endroit vaut le déplacement.
