Located in Montreal, the Onoir restaurant invites you to enjoy a unique gastronomic experience: savoring a good meal in total darkness. You'll be welcomed into a mysterious yet exciting setting to experience what it's like to be blind. In fact, the waiters who will guide you through the evening are visually impaired. Without flashlights, candles or luminous watches, cell phones or lighters, you'll discover a new way to enjoy the flavors of food. Eating without sight lets you concentrate on the aroma and taste of the food. The menu features delicious dishes such as ricotta and spinach ravioli, fresh seafood tagliatelle and grilled AAA beef striploin with foie gras and red wine sauce. The restaurant also boasts a terrace, providing a pleasant setting for a burger, salmon tartare with salad or steak and fries. There's also a bar offering a fine selection of creative cocktails, wines and other beverages. Onoir works with Horizon Travail and other local organizations that support the visually impaired. An unusual address for a memorable culinary adventure!

Ce qui devait être une expérience culinaire originale s’est très vite transformée en cauchemar.
Une fois installé à notre table nous avions remarqué que la salle à manger était très bruyante et très vite les gens HURLAIENT (littéralement) de partout. Même en parlant très fort, on ne s’entendait pas parler… Je n’ai jamais été témoins d’un débit aussi fort même en pub lors d’un match. Un verre s’est brisé et la moitié de la salle s’est mise à hurler en tapant des mains et sur les tables… un vrai zoo… Je vous laisse imaginer l’angoisse que ça a été en étant plongé dans le noir complet pour la 1ère fois…
Impossible de finir notre plat dans ces conditions qui a failli finir en crise d’angoisse, nous avons quitté la salle au 1e service… malgré tout ça le serveur Samy était très sympathique je mets 2 étoiles juste pour lui, l’expérience traumatisante qui a complètement gâché notre fin de soirée en méritait 0.
J’ai notifié mon mécontentement au bar avant de payer et aucun commentaire ni geste commercial.
