The best bagels are the ones from Montreal. Period. And it's impossible to meet a Canadian who will tell you otherwise. One of the best known in the city is Fairmount Bagel, a Mile End institution for over a century. Their bagels are perfect: not too dense crumb and crispy crust. Plain, sesame seed, poppy seed, multigrain, onion, blueberry, cinnamon raisin, cranberry, etc., the options are numerous and all delicious! Our choice: sesame seed bagel with smoked salmon mousse.
