CANTINE BROOKLYN
Is the Cantine Brooklyn a coffee, a workspace or a small vintage Scandinavian furniture store? Well, all three! And it's important to admit that the furniture that occupies the showroom of this small Mile End local. The restaurant now occupies most of the shop, but it does not prevent a few finds, a selection carefully chosen by the owner, Natalie Van Westrenen. On the menu side, Chef Jay Atwill offers a summer and winter slate with a few inroads such as bibimbap, Bánh mi sandwich and smoked trout dish (sandwich or plate). The prices are mild, the atmosphere is pleasant, all taking shape in a bright and open space.
