This hostel really has it all: ideal location, modern rooms, lively evenings and a huge rooftop terrace!

A really top-notch youth hostel with a festive atmosphere. The shared rooms all have private bathrooms, lockers, individual electrical outlets, a curtain in front of the bed for added privacy and other little extras. The hostel also offers beautiful, fully-equipped private rooms, studios and apartments. In the evening, the bar is a must, presenting free shows by local artists, DJ nights and other events. Tours are also organized during the day. In short, an address not to be missed!

I'm going back for sure! Great staff, they always find a way to help you. The place is always clean, conveniently located, and has plenty of options to stay. The neighborhood is walkable in the summer as the main street, St. Catherine closes for cars and it's for pedestrians, patios and activities. The bus to the airport and the Metro (subway) and other busses are only a few short blocks away. You can walk to Old Montréal in good weather if you'd like. Chinatown is also nearby. So many options to eat. Great spot. Thank you Nicolas and the whole team of front desk for making Easy to stay here so many years.

IT WAS AWESOME. The staff is so nice and there are a lot of events during the week! The hostel is also very close to the metro station so the location is perfect!

A hostel that absolutely defies the hostel stereotype. Premium rooms, fantastic amenities, and convenient location near the Berri-UQAM subway hub. Staff are very helpful and available at all hours of the night. Diarmuid and Isaac, who work the front desk night shift, know how to look out for all the interesting patrons that wander back to their rooms during wee-hours of the night (including myself). Should be the top choice for those looking for an affordable, but still posh, place to stay in MTL.

3.5 is my rating… 3 for the dorms and 4 for the private room. The staff were friendly and helpful. Location was central but in a more rough area. The first night we stayed in a dorm room because they were sold out of king rooms and we were told to bring back our bedding to the front desk… I’ve never experienced this in a hostel before (I’ve stayed in plenty around the world). Personally, I think my patience for hostels is now limited… I probably would only stay in one again when travelling solo because we had some inconsiderate dorm mates. If I would have known the sheets needed to be removed by guests in dorms, I probably would’ve just picked a hotel because I was looking for a more relaxing experience. In the second two nights, we stayed in a king room, which was great! I recommended the private rooms, 100%.

The overall atmosphere felt much more like a hotel, which is fine for me… but if you’re looking to meet people, perhaps this isn’t the spot for you. The cafe was affordable for a bite to eat in the morning, but the bar downstairs had the most expensive beer we saw in Montreal (more than in touristy old Montreal even), I found this atypical for a hostel.

Overall, if you must stay in a hostel, this place is clean and central… but in Canada, hostels aren’t amazing and I suggest you try to find a hotel instead if you can make the budget work.
