Halfway between the charm/comfort and luxury categories, Hôtel Chez Swann uses imagination to decorate its rooms. Colourful, stylish, even a little kitschy.... A particular taste that will confuse fans of the great classics of the hotel industry. The hotel management insists: we are closer to art than design. The idea of this modest hotel (about twenty rooms) is to offer you an experience in the heart of Montreal's culture, rather than simply spending a night in a hotel.

The hotel location is really ideal downtown and closer to restaurants, café, shopping and touristic locations.
The rooms are clean and basic. we stayed first night in king bedroom which had 3 stairs to access washroom and was on the second floor so we heard the noise coming from restaurants downstairs.
We talked to the customer service, and they kindly changed our room in the second night and upgraded us to meet in the third floor, which was very nice, had no stairs and quiet .
Service was great and staff are friendly.
Complementary breakfast with a simple pastry, tea, and coffee machine . However, there is no kettle to boil water for the tea so you can’t make tea technically. However the breakfast room is nice and has good internet if you wanna do some work using your laptop.
Prices are affordable for the area. I recommend staying in the hotel mainly third floor suites.
