Inspired by the first Canadian Fringe Festival, held in Edmonton in 1982 (itself inspired by the famous Edinburgh Fringe), this festival has had its Montreal version since 1990. Following the cancellation of the festivals in 2020, the festival's 30th anniversary will be celebrated in 2021 with even more spirit, that's for sure! Several shows, in both English and French, are offered by a hundred or so troupes from around the world mixing theatre, dance and music. Free outdoor site at the Parc des Amériques.
