Château built between 1915 and 1918 by brothers Oscar and Marius Dufresne, now a museum and historic heritage site.

Classified as a historic monument since 1976, Château Dufresne was built between 1915 and 1918 by brothers Oscar and Marius Dufresne. Its French Beaux-Arts architecture was directly inspired by the Petit Trianon in Versailles. Once home to Quebec's first Musée national d'art contemporain, the château is now a museum and historic heritage site featuring a permanent exhibition and interesting temporary exhibits (see website). Please note that guided tours are offered at 1 p.m. on weekends.

Cool story of the Chateau. Trip with guide lasts 45 minutes. Architecture is so so. interesting art pieces and furniture. This is not Versailles but good to see 1920 elite lifestyle in Quebec. Worth the trip on a bright day
