Built between 1915 and 1918, it houses a history museum that lets you explore over 500 years of the history of Montreal, Quebec and Canada. The museum houses a number of fascinating collections. You'll find, for example, works of art depicting the splendor of local landscapes and portraits of influential Canadian figures. Various objects illustrating the daily lives of 18th- and 19th-century Canadians are also on display. What's more, during a visit to this establishment, you'll be invited to discover a fine numismatic collection, with 8,000 coins. The museum also features interesting temporary exhibitions on specific aspects of local heritage. A must-see address!
