We truly enjoyed our stay, service was very good, including breakfast. I wish the window would open in our room, and an elevator would be great (I knew going in there was no elevator) the location was perfect.

Un très beau séjour. Nous avons séjourné une seule nuit. Tout était parfait. Les chambres sont très propres, les lits et les oreillers super confortables. Je suis coeliaque et on a vraiment très bien pris soin de moi au restaurant. Nous y avons soupé et nous avons décidé d'y retourner pour déjeuner. Nous reviendrons c'est certain.

The auberge itself is beautiful no complaints we loved our room. However the staff was not well trained, No one was aware on how to use such things as the thermostat, the jacuzzi. and the shower. We had to figured it out on our own while the gentleman was with us, so basically he received a training the same time as we did and from us.
We found it strange when we were told that no staff was on site after 11pm? No security or even a manager? The fire alarm went off in the kitchen at 7am walking all travellers and there was no apology given. I would expect a bit more fineness and professionalism with such a lovely place.

It doesn't take away the fact that the establishment is lovely, however the staff needs to be more polished.

Overall I could not have been more happy with my stay.
I love the feel of an old hotel which makes it more authentic to my visit.

Location was great, staff were very friendly and helpful.

The only comment I have is Upon check in the staff member was on the phone with a customer and I did have to wait for about 10 minutes before he finished and was able to check me in.
Perhaps putting the telephone customer on hold for a couple of minutes in order to check in a guest would be a suggestion.

Otherwise I would very much recommend your hotel and also stay there again.
I’m looking forward to visiting again !

Room was nice, but bathroom quite small and shower in the room. This is was OK for single use, but I would have been very disappointed, if I had booked it for double use. Liked the decor. Only negative thing was the bed was with blankets instead of a proper duvet.
Restaurant was excellent. Staff was friendly and service minded.

BONJOUR! We loved our 30th Anniversary stay in the beautiful Renfrew Suite. The room and staff were the utmost in satisfaction. My one complaint is the restaurant/staff there. The breakfast was not good. It was very cold food and we did not return after the first morning, even though it was free. The room coffee maker needs to work better, and I always appreciate having a bottle of water each night which was lacking. Twice I attempted to get my free Kir cocktail and the gentlemen in the restaurant Chez Jules twice was rude, telling me they were not open yet although it was 5:30 and people were dining outside, so I gave up after asking another afternoon for it at the bar. We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely return. Breakfast was delicious, we had a lovely lunch outside thanks to the well-placed heat lamps and a sunny day, and our room very comfortable. The entire staff was helpful and friendly, the location made it easy to walk everywhere, and the old-world charm of the decor, with some modern touches, was perfect.

It would be great if a porter could help with luggage given that there is no elevator. When I checked the young man at the hotel kindly helped me. When I checked out, a young lady also helped me very kindly. But I didn’t feel comfortable. I noticed she was making a great effort climbing down the stairs with our bags and I ended bringing down a bag myself. I had knee pain after that. Thank you.

Great location, clean room. The buffet breakfast was overpriced for the offering and the food had been sitting awhile so some of the items were dried out. It would be better to just have a menu option and have your food freshly made to order.

We had a lovely stay on our first visit to Quebec. The location of the property was outstanding! We stayed three nights, but needed to move during the stay due to room availability. Love, love, loved the attic room #32. We wished we could have stayed in that room for the entire stay. It was so cozy and charming. We were moved to room #5, which was nice also. However, we had "noisy" neighbors above us and couldn't get the room fan to work to drown out the sounds. Fortunately, the issue was rectified the by the courteous staff and the check out of the noisy guests. Despite this, we would definitely choose Auberge Place D'Armes again if we returned to Quebec.

This was a return visit, 7 years later, and again enjoyed it. Suite 2 was very comfortable. Our return flight was cancelled Monday afternoon and fortunately there was one room, 7, available. My partner would liked to have had an iron, did not see one in the suite, but she just wore something different and did not ask at the desk if one was available. Breakfast did not seem well organized on Sat/Sun. Maybe you were short staffed, but refreshing the buffet and coffee was slow. Monday was better and the kitchen provided us with a packed breakfast to take since we had a 4:30 departure Tuesday morning. This was really nice, even shelled the hard boiled eggs. The restaurant provided excellent food and service aside from my breakfast comments above. We look forward to a return visit next year.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Auberge Place D'Armes. The concierges were all incredibly friendly, helpful and charming.. The breakfast was top-notch (especially when compared with the slightly less expensive hotel we stayed in in Montreal). We also had dinner at Jules one evening and thought the food was exceptionally good. Our only quibble was with the noise -- and slight smell -- from the kitchen vent on the roof below the room, which alternated between somewhat loud and VERY loud. It made it so we couldn't open our window and had to use the air conditioner, even though it wasn't hot out. And even with the window closed, you could hear it when it got very loud. One other small thing: the Murphy bed wouldn't stay completely closed, which made it feel like it was going to come down at any moment, all though it never did. It seems like that could be solved pretty easily by installing a small latch of some kind.
