The Clarendon is the oldest hotel still in operation in the capital. The building, built from the plans of Charles Baillairgé, dates from 1870 and is full of history and romance. It is part of the city's socio-cultural heritage. Very well located, inside the fortifications of Old Quebec, this 4-star hotel is renowned for its excellent service and high quality facilities. I called the hotel to inform them of the error and they graciously called me back to let me know they would reconcile my dispute on the dates and provide me a room at no extra charge. I did not lose my money and they were extremely gracious and welcoming. They receive you in both official languages and all communications are handled with such grace.
I was shocked when the incident occurred and the hotel really made my day a lot better. I will always be grateful for their understanding and for their excellent hosting ability.
