Charming hotel-restaurant in the heart of the Old Port with comfortable rooms and suites with undeniable charm.
This charming hotel boasts a prime location, right in the heart of the Old Port district. Housed in a fully-renovated 19th-century building, it offers some 30 comfortable rooms and suites, some with brick or stone walls, but all with a modern design and undeniable charm. All feature air conditioning, excellent soundproofing and free wifi. Adjacent to the hotel is the Veravin 2.0 restaurant, offering a blend of bistro-style dishes (bavette de boeuf...) and Quebec classics (poutine...).

The carpet could have used a steam cleaning and there was inadequate space to hang up clothing, but it wasn't too big a deal. We had difficulty with the pressure in our toilet, and the staff had to scramble to fix it a couple of times. (The serviceability of bathroom appliances should not pre-occupy a guest - especially since the hotel was full and a room change was not possible.)
The black-out curtains were effective in preventing light from the gas station across the street from flooding our room with light at night. There are bars and sometimes noisy traffic in the area, but it wasn't too much of an inconvenience. We would consider staying here again, but we'd also consider some of the hotels on the nearby walking streets.
When we approached the receptionist about it we were told we could only swap rooms if we upgraded and paid extra, definitely poor service
