ÉGLISE SAINT-JEAN-BAPTISTE
Church classified as a historic monument and cultural asset. One of the most imposing and richly decorated in Quebec City.
Rebuilt in the 1880s in the Second Empire style, this church is one of the most imposing and richly decorated in the city (note that it burned down twice before it was rebuilt). Largely inspired by the Trinity Church in Paris, it was long considered the national monument of the French Canadians. It is not only classified as a historical monument but also as a cultural asset because of its great Déry-Casavant organs.
