OLD-QUEBEC FUNICULAR
Funicular, with superb views of the St. Lawrence and the South Shore, between the Petit Champlain district and Dufferin Terrace.
With such a significant difference in altitude between Lower Town and Upper Town, it's not surprising that a funicular has been installed between the Petit Champlain district and Dufferin Terrace. The only one of its kind in North America, the very first funicular was installed in 1879 before being completely destroyed by fire in 1945. Rebuilt and upgraded, it now offers superb views of Lower Town, the St. Lawrence and the South Shore. Don't forget your camera!
