When to go Québec ?
Quebec City and its surroundings are magnificent in all seasons. If in winter we eat traditional, high-calorie food for a Carnival trip or a dog-sled excursion, summer becomes a pretext for transforming streets, esplanades and parks into real open-air popular festivities. The fairy tale of colours in autumn and the great gourmet tradition of the sugar shack in spring are also part of visitors' favourites.
The St. Lawrence plain and Quebec City are characterized by a humid continental climate. Winters are very cold and long, from 4 to 6 months. Summers are short, hot, humid and stormy. Precipitation is abundant. The temperature varies greatly, from -35°C to 35°C. Each season brings its own activities and landscapes to discover.
