TRADITIONAL HURON SITE
The perfect place to dive head first into the heart of the culture and traditions of the Huron-Wendat nation of Wendake.
This native village offers a faithful reproduction of the Huron-Wendat way of life, from yesterday to today. You'll visit the traditional longhouse, see a smokehouse and meat dryer, a sweat lodge where boiling water is poured over stones, and a giant tepee made of boat sails. Numerous activities on offer: tomahawk throwing, tales and legends, medicine wheel making, etc. Also on site: First Nations arts and crafts boutique, summer snack bar.
