The museum is divided into two entities. First, the Saint-Édouard de Péribonka church and its new permanent exhibition celebrating the richness of Franco-Canadian literature, spotlighting more than thirty authors through a journey dotted with interactive activities. Then there's the Maison Samuel-Bédard, where Louis Hémon stayed for several months. It was here that he took notes for his novel Maria Chapdelaine. The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions and special activities.
