This comfortable establishment is close to many attractions, including the Zoo sauvage de Saint-Félicien. Here, you'll enjoy all the services of a grand hotel: spacious, functional, fully-renovated rooms (some with double therapeutic baths), cuisine inspired by Nordic flavors at Le Baumier restaurant, a convention center, sports and relaxation facilities... A highly recommended address for a memorable stay west of Lac Saint-Jean, in blueberry country!

Although the location is not too far from Old Quebec City, the neighborhood is full of homeless people and random strangers who will make you feel very uncomfortable when walking back to the hotel at night.

Check-in time is 4 pm, which is very unusual.

The experience is nowhere close to a hotel experience; it's definitely a hostel experience. The building doors are locked, and you need to ring and ask them to let you in if it's before your check-in time. You will be in a very hot and uncomfortable area called the "lobby" with no washrooms, only a bench. There's no greeting, and the staff are very unfriendly.

Reception is only open between 10 am and midnight.

The hotel room was very hot as the AC was not working properly. We asked the staff to check it, and they admitted that the room is hot, but all we heard was that this is the coolest temperature that the AC can be set to, and there's nothing they can do.

Another big surprise was the outlets! We're not sure what the problem was exactly, but when we plugged in our devices, it took them all HOURS to get charged! There was obviously something wrong with the power in the building! I cannot describe the frustration!

The fridge was empty, and when we asked for some water, they said we could use tap water in the washroom! This was the first time in my life going to a hotel where I was asked to drink water from the washroom tap.

The sheets were not visibly dirty but smelled really weird. We were happy we had brought our own pillowcases.

There were no shelves in the bathroom to put stuff like shampoos! So you needed to put them on the floor!!

J'ai réellement connue mieux côté cordialibilité du service... j'ai un garçon tsa qui tiens particulièrement à ses jouets, et à tendance à les cachés un peu partout. Je suis retourné à la chambre peut après le check out, et ça m'a prix 15 minutes trouver un de ses jouets, ça n'a pas plus à la réception qui m'a dis " ça prends pas 15 minutes faire le tour d'une chambre mr... reste 2 jouets manquant mais la pression de sortir de la pièce m'a faits abandonné les recherches... aucun empathie des employés au services après vente... c'est dommage puisque le reste étais sans faute.

In July we stayed for 2 nights in this hotel. Upon arrival in the room we noticed a terrible smell (like somebody has been smoking), a very old airconditioning unit which makes a terrible noise, moisture stains on the ceiling,... Apart from that the room is quite big.

In the evening we wanted to make use of the whirlpool in our room. We however noticed that it was broken. I went down to the reception to explain the problem where I got the response that the person in charge of fixing such problems already went home. She would take note of the problem and make sure it got fixed the next day. I already had the feeling at that point in time that they did not really care about this, so I did not have the feeling the problem would be fixed the next day. Note that we specifically paid extra for a room with a whirlpool.

The next day, after returning to the hotel in the evening, the problem still persisted. I went down again to the reception and explained the problem. The person working that evening could not find back any reporting of this problem and also told me that the person who could fix this already went home (again). At least this time we were offered to move to another room. I went to check out that room to find out that also there the whirlpool was not functioning. So, I went back to the reception again to tell that there is also a problem with this room. We got a business card with the email address of the hotel and were told to explain our problem via an email.

We sent a mail to again explain the problem and asked if at least the price difference between a room with / without whirlpool could be reimbursed (because it cost more). After 2 weeks still no answer was received, so I sent them a reminder mail. Now, again 1 week later they still did not respond. This is by far the worst customer service I've ever experienced from a hotel.

I would not recommend staying in this hotel. It's quite expensive and definitely not worth 4 stars.
