BONAVISTA LIGHTHOUSE CAPE
Lighthouse with red and white stripes, restored and furnished as in 1870, standing on Cape Bonavista.
A road leads to the isolated point of the cape, a rocky promontory beaten by the waves, where stands a statue of John Cabot, to the glory of the navigator. On the cape, stands a lighthouse with red and white stripes, restored and furnished as it was in 1870. Inside, there is an exhibition on the history of lighthouses and the lives of their keepers. From the top of the lighthouse, there is an impressive view of the ocean and the rocky coast, and it is not uncommon to see whales, which are used to this coast.
