This museum, with its imposing structure towering over the city, is a must-see for visitors to the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, showcasing its history, heritage and artistic expression. The building houses the provincial museum, provincial art gallery and provincial archives, as well as the Rooms Café (which closes an hour before the museum and opens at 11 a.m. on Sundays) and souvenir store. Tip: admission is free on the first Wednesday of the month between 6pm and 9pm.
