A site housing a battery, the largest in Normandy, discovered by Gary Sterne, the landowner.

An astonishing site, around which controversy has been rife. In 2006, Gary Sterne, the English owner of the land, claimed to have discovered "one of the most important German batteries in Normandy". Historians denounced this as a "sensational pseudo-discovery". In any case, this German battery, which seems to have been forgotten for almost 60 years, was part of the Atlantic Wall.

Same as pointe du hoc

Interesting and much more real - less “tidied up “ compared to other places.

Outdoor Museum, sehr informativ.
