ALLIANCE FRANÇAISE D'OTTAWA

The Alliance Française d'Ottawa is an institute and cultural center located in Centretown, on MacLaren Street. It offers French as a second language courses for adults, businesses and the federal public service. It is part of a vast international network whose mission is to disseminate the French language and promote French and Francophone cultures around the world. In addition to French courses, the Alliance Française d'Ottawa also offers examination services, a media library and access to Culturethèque, the French cultural network's digital library. Classes are taught by qualified teachers, and class sizes are small, allowing for maximum interaction and verbal communication between students. The institute also organizes cultural events such as exhibitions, film screenings and wine tastings.
