We experienced a few administrative hiccups during our stay but the management was very eager to correct and help. Very attentive and kind staff when it comes to problem solving. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

If you are driving to ICTC HOTEL you will pass the Hotel driving east on front st. and turn right on lower Simcoe st. And then the next right will take you to their valet parking where you have the option to valet for $55 with all day in/out or self park for $35 with no in/out. If taking a ride to the HOTEL there are revolving doors on Front st. about 100 yards west of lower Simcoe st.

I stayed for about three weeks at the Intercontinental Centre Toronto up to end of March. I wasn’t going to post this, but I am having another long stay now at the Sheraton, and the drastic difference warrants a warning to anyone looking at Intercontinental.

First of all, the rooms are 400-500 per night. This was all prepaid by the company. I got there after 17 hrs of travel at around 2100. The concierge asked me to pay a security deposit of 125CAD which I obliged. He failed to mention that they were going to take 125 CAD for five nights due to the long stay, so for 3 weeks I had 625CAD blocked off my card.

The water in the shower took ages to get hot, and not the level I expect from a hotel that charges as much as they do. The reception staff were consistently rude to me when I asked anything. On top of all that, they charge a 28.5 cad amenity fee. It’s a joke.

The breakfast was good and the staff there were super nice, but for that little I really think they need to do better.

I will avoid the hotel like plague. The sheraton were actually acknowledging that I am staying long and they upgraded my room upon check in, no additional amenity fees and the staff is super lovely, not responding in a snarky manner as if they’re doing me a favour to be talking to me in the first place. They also only charge 100 CAD as the entire security deposit, despite the long stay.

Terrific rooms (high floor is worth it), lovely comfortable bed, & location can't be beat. I also found the staff to be friendly and responsive. One glaring exception: the mandatory junk 'amenity' fee that gets charged at 25$ per day -- the 'benefits' this fee gets you are comically useless (20% off dry cleaning! bottles of water you never actually get!) but, given that such junk fees are becoming a lamentably standard practice for even higher-end hotels, at the very least this fee should be levied as part of the room charge/room base rate. This hotel does NOT do that, and instead classifies this mandatory daily fee along with other personal expenses like in-room dining. For those of us traveling on business, with the room going on a separate business account from personal expenses, this is a real hassle. If you are going to keep the fee mandatory, then at the very least recognise that it's part of the base rate for the room itself, and NOT a surplus personal charge one can **opt out of**. Also: how does this amenity fee not inevitably create conflict either at check in or check out? How is this worth it from a customer service point of view rather than simply RAISING the advertised room rates slightly...

Location was great, and the room was very nice. However, the service left a lot to be desired.

First, there was no attendant at the valet stand, and parking/navigation was somewhat confusing. Then, we had to wait a substantial amount when checking in. Now, I'll admit that it was fairly late at night (around 11 pm), but it was still very slow. The agent was nice enough, but unfortunately misinformed. He told me that because I booked my stay using my IGH Rewards, I was not eligible for any benefits. This is not the case (as you will find when you review IHG's terms). This meant that I did not receive any welcome amenities, was not considered for an upgrade, etc. He did grant me the late 2 pm checkout (which is weird, if he didn't think I was eligible for benefits). This was somewhat amended the next morning, when at checkout I inquired about this, and the staff member retroactively gave me bonus points (600 points) as my welcome amenity (which I would have definitely preferred the beverage credit/voucher since 600 points is literally nothing).

Anyways, the room was nice enough and the hotel is quite decent. The slowness of the check-in process as well as the poor training of the check-in agent, dings a star here, however.

There's a sweet liar at concierge desk and tells you there's no luggage storage services. His job is to turn down everybody by most Canadian way possible. What a shame.

Just don't look at him if you need a luggage storage. Go directly to the bell desk.

I confirmed with the staff at Bell Desk, but it seems they don't offer a luggage storage service. Since the location is good, I would like to use it when I come to Toronto again someday.

Long story short - amazing. Everything about our stay was impeccable… the room was gorgeous, quite modern and spacious with an amazing view, very nice bathroom.
The bathroom products (shampoo/conditioner/wash/lotion) smelt/felt amazing. The room was equipped with perfect amenities from a lit vanity mirror in the bathroom to the complimentary abundance of coffee and tea. The bed was amazing and so comfortable. I visited the spa every day and Mimoza, who works there, is amazing, she went out of her way to make sure I was having a great experience. The saltwater hot tub and steam room are so nice, the spa area in general is just serenity inducing. The bar at Azure, the resto/bar within the hotel had amazing drinks and great customer service. The housekeeping staff was incredibly kind and caring. Concierge was also very helpful. The location of the hotel is awesome, in the heart of downtown next to as many attractions as you could think of… there’s a few near nice green spaces/parks + it’s close the water which I appreciated…coffee shops etc????????‍♀️????????‍♀️great for exploring the city. THANK YOU! - Amelia Carinci & Laura McBride

Amazing staff! Sara Amodeo and Ingrid Ramirez we're amazing with our group, managing a million changes with guest names, check ins, and tons of special requests. David Paes was fantastic at getting me sorted out with check in/out, rooms drops, etc. 5-star service all around!

PS my room was also gorgeous!

I spent here two night during my last business trip in Toronto; this wasn’t my first time because some years ago I came here.
The position for me is very good because very close to train station and not so far from downtown.
The room was fantastic, so clean, large, with all the comforts, with a super big bathroom and shower.
A very good thing for me is the sound insulation, you can’t hear a pin drop.
I haven’t try the gym, so I can’t give any comment.
The price at this time was good, reason of my booking, but normally the price is over the average.
So in conclusion is highly suggest for business trip!

Update: Just changed my review from 5 stars to 4 stars based on a mini bar charge to my credit card. We opened and broke the seal so that we could put our restaurant leftovers in the fridge, we didn’t use any of their beverages. Thankfully they are correcting the charge, however, unfortunate that I was charged in the first place. We are always happy to pay for what we use.
Exceptional everything. I haven’t stayed at the Intercontinental in years and wondered if they still have an unbeatable standard, they certainly do. Hands down one of the best hotels in Toronto.

Keep up the great work.

I recently had a fantastic breakfast at Club Lounge. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was also excellent (Jill Ann is amazingly sccommodating) and the ambiance was cozy and inviting.

The concierge team went ABOVE and BEYOND to make my boyfriend's birthday special. We were traveling from the U.S and a week before check in, conceirge assisted my surprise set up come to life for when we arrived. The balloon set up process was seamless, the cake and letter was an amazing additional touch. The team was so kind and helpful and did not make me feel like I was asking for too much. I cannot thank Anna, Sherine, and Kian enough for their support and execution.

Sheline (our spelling of her name might be incorrect) at the concierge, she was extremely helpful and made our vacation there very enjoyable. A very nice hotel.

Not reading the early cancelation fee in the documents was the only downside to this trip.

Great location downtown on Front, walking distance from Union and attached to the Metro Convention Center. Get the breakfast package because the buffet is one the best ones I've seen at a hotel. The room was clean, bathroom was modern, and the hand wash and lotion was nicely scented without being over powering. Bathrobes and slippers were provided as well as real glasses for wine. Staff at checkin were friendly and efficient.

The room was clean and very comfortable with a stunning view of the lake and the CN Tower. Staff are very friendly and remember you from previous visits. We were particularly impressed with service provided by Johnny, Penny, Shabber, and Mesfin
