A bookstore established in 1970, Glad Day Bookshop is the oldest LGBTQ2 bookstore in Toronto (and even in the world, according to her). At the end of 2016, the store left the premises it had occupied, just a few blocks away, for almost 50 years, in order to diversify its activity by offering in addition a coffee shop and a bar (closed late in the evening). The place also organizes weekly events, including the unmissable Sunday Drag Brunch (tickets can be purchased online). A really different bookstore!
