If there was only one beer festival to see in Toronto, it's this one! On the menu: more than 300 beers in cask, no less.
Founded by Toronto's Bar Volo and held in a rather industrial-looking venue, this unique festival brings together dozens of microbreweries to present more than 300 beers served in cask. "Cask ale" or "real ale" means a beer drawn according to the traditional method of serving, either with a manual beer pump or by simple gravity from the cask placed on racks (stillage). This beer is neither filtered nor pasteurized, and its carbonation rate is low, so that the froth does not last long. Cheers!
