GOODERHAM BUILDING
Iconic building in Toronto marked by its triangular shape reminiscent of an iron, classified as a historic building in 1975.
An iconic silhouette contrasting with the huge skyscrapers of the Financial District in the background, it is sometimes called Flatiron building, as are some of its famous North American counterparts, due to its triangular shape reminiscent of an iron. Completed in 1892 by architect David Roberts, Jr., the building was classified as a historic building in 1975. The Flatiron Mural, a skillful trompe-l'oeil directed by Derek Michael Besant, overlooks the back of the small Berczy Park, while the basement houses an English pub, The Flatiron and Firkin.
