BROOKFIELD PLACE
Cathedral of Light, an elliptical glass gallery stretching from Bay to Yonge Streets, an atrium of light and shadow.
Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava is at the origin of this incredible cathedral of light that stretches from Bay Street to Yonge. A magnificent elliptical glass gallery, this ensemble constitutes the Allen Lambert Galleria and Heritage Square. The six-storey atrium, designed in 1990, consists of steel branches and glass foliage creating a play of light and shadow. This modern structure blends surprisingly well with historic buildings such as RBC Bank. A place that suspends the hectic time of this business district.
