The AGA is the only public art collecting museum located between Sudbury and Thunder Bay. Its rich collection consists of approximately 5,000 works including paintings, drawings, sculptures, photographs, installations and decorative arts. The focus is on regional and Canadian contemporary art and includes works by members of the Group of Seven (Franklin Carmichael, A.Y. Jackson, J.E.H. MacDonald and F.H. Varley) as well as Carl Beam, AJ Casson, Jack Bush, Rita Letendre and Barbara Hepworth, for example. Coffee and gift store on site.
