PARK HOUSE MUSEUM
Museum considered to be one of the first prototypes of the piece-on-piece construction, presenting historical exhibitions.
Built around 1790, the Park House is considered one of the first prototypes of the so-called room-to-room construction. When the city of Detroit was ceded to the United States, the owners decided to dismantle it and move to Amherstburg. Today, the house is a museum that welcomes schoolchildren from the region, but is still an interesting place to visit for the older ones. The historical exhibitions are always interesting. The museum also offers a program of special events throughout the seasons.
