KINCARDINE LIGHTHOUSE & MUSEUM
Octagonal lighthouse with all the information, in the center of Kincardine, with an exhibition on local history.
Built in 1881 to assist the fishing and salt transportation industry, this octagonal lighthouse still stands in the center of Kincardine. No guided tours are offered, but an exhibit at the base of the lighthouse provides an opportunity to learn more about the local history. Note that from Point Clark, south of Kincardine, to Tobermory, on the northern tip of the Bruce Peninsula, you can follow the Lighthouse Route, which includes some 15 lighthouses along the coast.
