Historical site nicknamed the cradle of insulin, tracing the life and work of physician Frederick Banting who isolated insulin.

This historic site of Canada describes the life and achievements of Frederick Banting (1891-1941), the famous physician who formulated the process of insulin isolation that earned him the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 1923. It was in this house, nicknamed the "cradle of insulin," that he awoke in the middle of the night on October 31, 1920 with the idea that would lead him to this incredible medical discovery, the greatest of the 20th century in the country.
