LAKE ST. CLAIR
Lake separating Michigan and Ontario, allowing several activities: water sports, sailing, fishing and tourist cruises.
Covering an area of more than 1,000 km2, this lake separates the U.S. state of Michigan from the Canadian province of Ontario, with the St. Clair and Detroit Rivers serving as a link between Lakes Huron and Erie. You have to go to the Tecumseh area, a few kilometres east of Windsor, to reach its mouth. Water sports and sailing are popular here, as well as fishing, with several species of freshwater fish. Sightseeing cruises approach the mouth but generally stay in the waters of the Detroit River.
