HURONIA MUSEUM
Museum dedicated to the Huron-Wendat culture in Midland with a very interesting exhibition of artifacts.
It is impossible to visit Huronia without spending some time on Huron-Wendat culture. In Midland, the Huronia Museum is a faithful testimony to Huron reality before the time of Champlain and the European settlers. In this meticulously recreated village, there is a wigwam and a longhouse, two types of traditional dwellings. The museum also houses a very interesting exhibition of artefacts related to the history of the region, ranging from photographs to works by the Group of Seven and maritime heritage.
