Built in 1892, this Macy's is a real institution with its dozens of shops and its magnificent Tiffany dome.
Built in 1892, the former Marshall Field's, now Macy's, is a true institution. In addition to its dozens of stores, Marshall Field's has two particular points of interest: on the fifth floor is the largest Tiffany dome in the world, designed by the American artist of the same name. It is composed of more than 1.6 million small glass pieces. Outside, the two large bronze clocks weighing 7 tons have been telling the time to the inhabitants for over a century. The Visitor Center that used to be in the store no longer exists in 2023.
