Far from fearing the shadow of its famous elder Second City, Up Comedy Club produces excellent improv and one-man shows. Get there early if you want a good table. Beware, as is often the case in such places, spectators can be taken to task! Avoid the first two rows if you don't want the comedian(s) to strike up a conversation with you. You can eat on site, but the food is decent without being extraordinary. In any case, it's pretty hard to chew when you're laughing out loud!
