This free festival in Millennium Park features local and internationally renowned jazz musicians.
For four days, this free festival features local and internationally renowned jazz musicians performing in different pavilions in Millennium Park. Events also at the Chicago Cultural Center and Ganz Hall. Now world-renowned, the festival came into being somewhat by chance: in 1974, a small festival was organised in Grant Park in honour of the musician Duke Ellington after his death. More than ten thousand people attended the event, which eventually became an annual festival!
