INDEPENDENCE DAY

Festive atmosphere for the American National Day, fireworks at Navy Pier and light festival at Millennium Park.
Festivities are held throughout the United States on the occasion of the American National Day. On July 4, 1776, the final version of the Declaration of Independence was validated and its adoption was passed, marking the country's independence from Great Britain. Everyone in the country wears red, white and blue clothes (like the American flag!) and, after sharing a barbecue, prepares to watch the fireworks fired from Navy Pier while a festival of lights, Rhapsody in Blue, illuminates Millennium Park.
