A large university providing economic vitality to the Hyde Park neighborhood and encouraging people to move there.
It's like Oxford here: the campus atmosphere is solemn, studious and peaceful. Passionate about Gothic and Art Deco styles, John D. Rockefeller, its founder, invested oil money in the construction of this great university. After the 1893 Universal Exhibition, it was the university that gave economic impetus to the Hyde Park district and encouraged people to settle there. If you have some time, visit the Rockefeller Chapel.

Situé à côté du Dusable Museum, l'Université de Chicago est un havre de verdure. Les bâtiments sont sublimes. On y passe facilement la journée. Les rues environnantes sont également intéressantes.
