333 WEST WACKER DRIVE
Building with a curved blue-gray glass façade facing northwest of Chicago offering sensational sunsets.
The building, the work of Kohn Pedersen Fox, was erected in 1983. Its curved blue-grey glass façade follows the shape of the river flowing below. Throughout the day, the colour of the glass wall changes according to the colour of the sky. Clouds are reflected differently in each pane, making it seem as if you can see through it. Facing northwest, it offers sensational sunsets. The base of the building is made of traditional stone, which reinforces the impression that the glass wall is levitating above the river.
