Large black pyramidal tower of 343.5 m high with a 360° panorama ideal for an early morning or late evening visit.
This is a must see in Chicago! Here you'll find one of the most fascinating views of Chicago you can get. This tall black pyramidal tower, with its cross-shaped metal structure rising into the sky north of Gold Coast, opened in 1969 and is 343.5 meters high (excluding antennas). Propel yourself to the 94th floor in 40 seconds. A 360-degree panorama plunging into the bowels of the surrounding avenues and stretching as far as the eye can see into the inhabited plains of Illinois awaits you... You can walk on the Skywalk - Chicago's highest balcony, open to the south over the downtown skyscrapers, where you can feel the heat of summer or the bite of the winter wind. In May 2014, the Tilt ! tilted glass window opened, tilting visitors up into the void. It's truly impressive and a must do! But avoid if you are afraid of heights...
The best times to visit are early in the morning, between 9 and 11 am, or late in the evening, at sunset, when the light comes through the tower and casts the shadow of the Chicago skyline into the dark waters of Lake Michigan. Inside, everything has been studied to improve the comfort of the visitors and very design wooden benches have even been installed to admire the view without having to stand; some benches are even equipped with plugs to recharge your smartphone. There is also a bar on site, and what could be more magical than contemplating the skyline with a little cup in hand?

Petit bonus, au pied de la tour si vous vous orientez vers le sud de la ville pour rejoinder le centre, prenez le temps d'admier le petit chateau d'eau au pied, il vaut le detour au mileu des grands immeubles.
