This art museum opened its doors in 1974 after a major donation from the Smart brothers. It has a total of 15,000 objects, some of which are presented in four main collections: modern art, featuring works by artists such as Edgar Degas, Auguste Rodin and Henry Moore, European art, Asian art and contemporary art, a superb collection that mainly presents American and European works from the 1950s to the present. The museum also has a garden where some contemporary art sculptures are exhibited.
