Beautiful French and Italian Renaissance style library listed on the Milwaukee Landmarks Register, well worth a visit.
A visit to this beautiful French and Italian Renaissance library will appeal to those who love architecture and fine stonework. Built in 1895, it was listed as a Milwaukee landmark in 1969. To build it, a competition was held, in which Frank Lloyd Wright took part. It wasn't he who won, but the local firm Ferry & Clas. The library is open to all, with free use of the computers and the library itself.
