VILLA TERRACE DECORATIVE ART MUSEUM
Museum with a garden to visit in Milwaukee, featuring decorative arts and works by Wisconsin artists.
Built in 1923, the Villa Terrace, originally a private dwelling, was donated to the City of Milwaukee as its Museum of Decorative Arts. The museum therefore presents the decorative arts of the 15th-18th centuries, as well as works by Wisconsin artists. Its garden, which descends towards the lake, has the landscaping elements of a 16th century Tuscan garden. Just for this garden alone, where many weddings are organized, the visit is worthwhile.
