A small limestone cliff top park with limestone beaches just above the surface of Lake Michigan.
People come here to see the effects of Lake Michigan on the shores of the peninsula. At the end of the car park, we face the lake, three or four metres above the surface, at the top of a small limestone cliff. On stormy days, the waves explode inside the holes in the cliff. If you walk along the shoreline to the north, you will find limestone beaches just above the surface of the lake. If the water level rises a few centimetres, everything will be covered. This is what happens during fluctuations in the level of the Great Lakes.
