MONONA TERRACE
Building representing an exceptional cultural center, organizing many concerts and dances on its roof terrace.
Monona Terrace is the last public building designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. It took fifty-nine years for the project to succeed: Wright had indeed thought of the project as early as 1938, but a series of setbacks delayed its completion until 1997, when the Monona Terrace opened its doors on Monona Lake, just south of the Capitol. It is an exceptional cultural and convention center for Madison. At weekends during the summer months, many concerts and dances are organized on its roof terrace.
