LE BOUCHON D'HONFLEUR
Small, fresh, and tasty dishes at affordable prices in a restaurant on the central square in Honfleur.
We’re not in Lyon but in Honfleur. Did you say cork? Would that be an invitation to uncork a bottle of cider? Come in and settle down quietly. Don’t be needlessly impatient, especially in high season. The service, smiling, shows itself to be up to the task and the map faithful to what is announced. Fresh and tasty little dishes at affordable prices. No lyrical flights of fancy, but enough to satisfy the visitor without putting a strain on his budget. Honfleurais from elsewhere like to come here too. Pell-mell: gratin of mussels, entrecote and gratin dauphinois, sole meunière, cod with leek cream, terrine of Livarot or marrowy with apples... With a bit of luck you’ll come across a good frying of horses (or sand eels in Normandy). The pleasure is right at the end of the range and the price/quality ratio is very honest for the menu on the market. A nice table in the central square offers you a breathtaking view of the church of the same name and its unique bell tower.
