The collection, built up over more than a century by members of the Société du Vieux-Honfleur, takes visitors on a journey back in time to discover the arts and popular traditions of Normandy.

Musée surprenant, très enrichissant.
Très original de part la reconstitution des pièces de vie, et de l'exposition d'objets anciens.
A faire si vous êtes de passage a Honfleur !

L’accueil n’est pas vraiment agréable mais le musée est à découvrir même si il manque, je trouve, d’informations.
Sur la porte est indiqué musée marin mais c’est bien le musée d’ethnographie. Les places sont à récupérer au musée marin (?) dans la rue perpendiculaire. Les infos ne sont pas très claires je trouve..

Ein kleines schönes Museum, welches die Lebensweise der Menschen im 19. Jahrhundert darstellt. Man wird durch zwei wunderschöne restaurierte alte Gebäude geführt, in denen die Zimmer liebevoll gestaltet sind. Man bekommt eine Beschreibung Deutsch auf mehreren DIN-A4 Seiten. Die Eintrittskarten Marinemuseum kaufen. Es lohnt sich dort direkt beide Museen zu kaufen. Die Kinder unter zwölf Jahren sind kostenlos. Erwachsene zahlen 5,50 € für beide Museen, was sehr günstig ist. Ein absolut empfehlenswerter Besuch.

I found this museum authentic and incredibly interesting. It gives you a very personal and up close feeling of how people lived. Totally worth the effort. The tiny prison behind was fascinating as well.
