GUTHRIE THEATER
The Guthrie Theater has been delighting audiences since 1963. It is named after Tyrone Guthrie, a British director and actor who was its artistic director until 1966. It has only been housed in the building that currently houses it, designed by Jean Nouvel, since 2005. Acoustics and lighting contribute to the success of the performances, which can be adaptations of major international hits as well as small local plays. Ten minutes before the performance, tickets are sold out, but beware: first come, first served!
