The Orpheum is Minneapolis' favorite theater! From the moment you step outside, you'll be charmed by its pretty, illuminated facade. It opened in 1921 as the Hennepin Theatre, and was owned by Bob Dylan between 1979 and 1988. Restored in the 1990s, like three other theaters on the avenue, the Orpheum Theatre has regained its original elegance and now hosts Broadway blockbusters. The Lion King, The Phantom of the Opera and Mamma Mia have all been staged here.
