THE BAKKEN MUSEUM
This museum, located in a beautiful house built in 1930, is dedicated to the history of electricity and electromagnetism
Earl Bakken, American inventor, engineer, businessman and philanthropist, founded the museum in the 1970s. Housed in a handsome mansion built in 1930 in a blend of Tudor and Gothic Revival styles, it contains a collection of almost 13,000 objects, some dating back to 1,200 B.C. The museum is dedicated to the history of electricity and electromagnetism, particularly in the fields of medicine and science. At the entrance, you can admire a six-meter lithograph of La Fée Électricité, a famous painting by Raoul Dufy.
